[How To] Configure Web Server Role for Adxstudio Portals

The first step of setting up Adxstudio is to enable Web Server role on the server that will host the Adxstudio Portal.  This article provides a walk through of Web Server configuration.

Login to the Windows Server using an Administrator account.

Open Server Manager

Click on Add roles and features

Configure Web Server Role 1

Click Next.

Installation Type: Select Role-based or feature-based installation and click Next.

Server Selection: Select Select a server from the server pool and click Next.

Server Roles: Select Web Server (IIS) and click Add Features. Click Next.

Features: Select .NET Framework 4.5 Features > WCF Services > HTTP Activation and click Add Features.

Features: Select Windows Identity Foundation 3.5. Click Next.

Click Next.

Role Services: Select HTTP Redirection.

Role Services: Select Windows Authentication.

Click Install.

Click Close.

Now, your Windows Server’s Web Server role and required features are configured and ready for Adxstudio installation.
